Bellevue DECA are National Champions!

We already knew that Bellevue DECA had an amazing first year as a team, qualifying 20 individuals to compete at the national tournament (known as the International Career Development Conference, or ICDC).  But who could have guessed we would be coming home from Orlando as national champions?

Please congratulate our outstanding team members for their many achievements:

  • Tana Rulkova and Susan Petris were triumphant in the International Marketing event, making their coach / International Marketing teacher awfully proud.
  • Keith Monaghan and Olivia Wright made the top 8 in Financial Statement Analysis (final rankings are only clear if you are awarded 1st, 2nd or 3rd place).
  • Andy Norris made it to the top 10 in both the Sales Management event and a special International Sales Challenge opportunity open to all students at the conference.
  • Gabriel Amare was a finalist in Hotel and Lodging Management.
  • Conner Watts earned a top test score award in the Fashion Marketing event.
  • Finally, Bellevue DECA was awarded recognition as a new DECA chapter.
